Hulk Hogan denies ex-wife Linda Hogans claims of abuse

Hulk Hogan denied he physically abused his ex on the radio program, "Bubba the Love Sponge Show," Tuesday afternoon, calling his former spouse "delusional."

Linda Hogan appeared with Matt Lauer to discuss her autobiography, "Wrestling the Hulk: My Life Against the Ropes," in which she writes that her ex-husband "tore my shirt. He threw lamps. He held me down on the bed with his hands around my throat during arguments, slamming doors, pounding walls."

She blamed the rage on prescription drugs, later telling Lauer she “did not want to be a statistic like Nicole (Brown) Simpson.”

Hulk Hogan did not comment to the “Today” show but later said he “never laid a hand on her” in a radio interview. “She’s still riding on the Hulk Hogan name,” he said.

The ex-couple and their children appeared on the VH1 reality show "Hogan Knows Best." Their divorce was finalized in 2009.

After appearing on the radio, the wrestler tweeted, "When your surrounded with good, positive people and you have peace love and joy in your life there is no hate. Even when hateful people are hating or when someone was close to you but now you realize who they really are, the only thing you want to do is forgive them and pray for them."
